From: Ghettostone Publications Company, Editor/Chief Michael R. Brown, leader of "THE BEST SELLERS BOOK CLUB" review of author Robin DiAngelo's "WHITE FRAGILITY"; Why It's So Hard to Talk to White People About Racism"....!
"WARNING...!" This book is not meant for pleasure, but self- examination...!
"WHITE FRAGILITY" by Robin DiAngelo is a deep dive into the pyscho-social anaylsis of the inner-workings of White folk's inability to deal with their own emotional triggers associated with being confronted with internal bias. The writer has designed this book for "Whites Only"!
The book dives deep into the psychology of white racism, identifying masked internal feelings, deeply held beliefs, historically seeded attitudes, personal prejudices, and internal attempts to hide behind group assimilation by using emotional evasion! The premise of this study suggests that no white person in America is willing to take responsibility for America's unique "White Racist" problem. The writer works in corporate diversity training helping corporations determine why there is no people of color hires, or why so many minorities leave.
The book is tough. It's harsh. It's difficult to read. And hard to put away. The statistics alone are extremely harsh to review. And the fact that America's history has never been able to put race hatred away... equates to being "addicted to white supremacy"! The proof is established in America's History of violence toward "People Of Color", genocide of the Native Peoples, enslavement of the African, land seizures from Mexico, the establishment of a "Jim Crow segregation laws" and the systematic oppression of everyone who is not "White"..
The truth hurts! According to this study many White People in America are unaware of
the harmful nature of "A White Supremacy Society"! More than that many White Americans continue to deny they play a role in enforcement of the status quo, or that they have benefited personally from it, or that America has a entrenched racial systems that disenfranchise People of Color!
This book is not meant for People of Color! It's difficult information and confirms what Black People have suspected and known most of their lives, the socialization and complicit nature of White individuals to perpetuate racial discrimination is inherent in the socialization process of being White in America, a White Supremacist Society!
The fact that no where in the world does a "White Supremacy Nation" like America even exists. Plus the fact that White People can not be "superior" with out the systematic
oppression of "the inferior" People of Color...! In other words, the American racial supremacy system implemented through socialization would be impossible, if there were no Black People lived in this country....! In order to be White in America, there needs to be Black People living in America! If no Black People lived in America there would be no White
ability to be Superior or White Supremacists...!
QUESTION: Can White Americans get tough enough to deal with the harsh realities of their own socialization into a system of institutional "white racism" in order to see how they keep the system in place? Or will America come to some horrible clash or be easily defeated by a Russia, or another nation that uses "white supremacy propaganda" to easily manipulate an already hostile White America in order to destroy Democracy...?
Read the book and find out....! "White Fragility" by Robin DiAngelo

From: Michael R. Brown, Editor/Chief of Ghettostone Publications Company and leader of "THE BEST SELLER'S BOOK CLUB" reviews the title, "RAZOR'S EDGE" a Star Wars Story- by author Martha Wells writer of our favorite series "MURDER BOT"...! "RAZOR'S EDGE" a Star Wars Story features, Princess Leia Organa, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker in an action adventure story centered around the time just after the destruction of the Empire's "Death Star" as the Rebel Alliance searches for a new secret hideout. The frieghter space craft driven by Han Solo is captured along with it's crew and not it's up to Princess Lelia to reconnect with her fellow Alderaanian Citizens and rescue her small crew. Michael R. Brown, Editor/Chief Ghettostone Publications Company and Leader of The BEST SELLERS BOOK CLUB review of "Oryx And Crake", by Margaret Atwood a science fiction novel. Our future world has ended badly...! Earlier technological discoveries in the bio-science have become out of control proliferating at a rate that will out do the normal world...! Blue humans who smell like citrus fruit are near perfect having no need for anything the previous world desired...! (The citrus smell keep mosquitoes away) Only one man has survived to tell the tale of what happened to wreak the world...! Told from the perspective of "Snowman" the lone survivor who lives in this weird world, the readers are taken through an historical accounting of events that lead this his survival and his living in a tree surrounded by unrecognizable animals and humans. The new animals of this future world are called "children of Oryx! And the new (near perfect) blue humans are called, "Children of Crake"! Once you begin this novel there is no return, you must keep reading in order to settle your mind melt and brain twists thrown at you from it's beginning pages...! "Readers be Warned!" How can we, any of us, move forward in our lives without knowing the Truth! Readers unless we find out what and the holly hell happened to the world, it's impossible to put this book down! Margaret Atwood has drawn us in to captivity with "Oryx And Crake" a science fiction novel that has a grip on mad science in our fearful dreams run amock...! We disagree strongly on the possibilities of realism, but we all know this was a great read for the entire group.
We the BEST SELLER'S BOOK CLUB highly recommend this title to our book lovers and science fiction fans all round the world! Enjoy!

From Editor/Chief Michael R. Brown of Ghettostone Publications Company
and Leader of The BEST SELLERS BOOK CLUB comes a review of author
Martha Wells -"Exit Strategy" part 4 in the "Murder Bot" series...!
"WE LOVE MURDER BOT"..!
Book #4 "Exit Strategy" is the conclusion of the Martha Wells series about a cyborg,
"Sec. Unit" hero, who is still part human, but mostly machine. He calls himself Murder
Bot after a horrible incident in which 21 humans died during a malfunction he can't
seem to remember. The final story ties up most loose ends of the series, and answers questions like does the bad corporations ever get caught! Or did our hero really kill 21 humans? Or what ever happened to the woman he seemed to "like" will they see each
other again? And will "Murder Bot" ever stop running from the law? We really enjoyed
this story! It was well written, short, and filled with actions sequences that took place in interplanetary locations. Martha Wells uses terrific descriptions that take the reader
away to distant places. Not over done itemized droning, but a weaving of descriptions
with storytelling a real artwork. We finally get why "Murder Bot" has been watching
all those TV shows that he's been downloading. And there is even a little cliff hanger
that leaves open the possibility of more "Murder Bot" stories to come...!

From: Ghettostone Publications Company's Editor/ Chief Michael R. Brown and the BEST SELLER'S BOOK CLUB, a review of "The Leavers" by Lisa Ko.
The book "THE LEAVERS" an enriching award winning story about one of America's hottest issues "immigration" and the hidden world of "ICE" agents and their devastation on families.
Deming Gu and Polly Gu mother and son have been through a lot. Immigrating to the U.S. from China, escaping loan sharks and being separated for years without knowing the reasons why. This well written story draws the reader in emotionally through the story of a young teenager working hard to get somewhere in life. And the personal sacrifices made by thousands of immigrant families brave enough to search for a better life. The readers are given a first person perspective using individualized descriptions of experiences while introducing it's readers to "the process" of government intervention and it's personal impacts on people's lives. The twists and turns are complexed, heart felt, gripping and telling. Making "THE LEAVERS" a story that is hard to deny in a country where the realities of migrating are much more that the surface political arguments that American dane to discuss...!
THE BEST SELLER BOOK CLUB and it's leader Michael R. Brown, highly recommends this most worthy title to all of our life long learners...! Enjoy- This title marks the end of summer 2019's reading lists...! But we are far from finished....!

A new kind of horror film, that in my opinion needs to be added

Hereditary, draws the viewer in as the story is being told, unexpected
and suddenly shifting to disaster, dialing in on the painful realism as
dramatic events unfold. The viewer begins to wish it was just a regular
horror movie so our collective brain can comprehend, but just as the viewer
thinks it will unfold within the rules of horror, it jerks you into unimaginable third

From: Ghettostone Publications Company's Editor/Chief Michael R. Brown, Leader of the Best Sellers Book Club- reviewing the "Hugo Award Winning" book titled "Rainbows End", by author Vernor Vinge. In one word, "tidious...!
Problems we found with: "Rainbow's End"
Too much time spent on descriptions of places, things, computer screens.
Not enough story that connects to the reader.
Misses the mark attempting to be clever.
Too many characters, even goes as far as giving them nicknames. (too much)
Title has nothing to do with the story.
The story involves an extended family in the not to distant future where technology is advanced to the level of reversing the aging process and restoring youth to the elderly. As a result elderly folks get a second chance at life, and are required to attend remedial high school in order to gain skills needed to navigate their new found high tech environments.
The future world has medical cures, self driving cars, computerized clothing, and virtual reality everywhere in the natural world.
The big problem for this future world is the over saturated internet and the "catfish" games that are the new spy games. The world of terror and bombs has been replaced by internet trolling, hacking governments and alliances of computer coders...! The "big caper" in this science fiction story is the debasement of the old world collection of books in the university library- so the a new form of automation could be moved in.
Even though technology existed for dirty bombs, and horrible drone bio weapons, the "Rainbow's End" story focuses on gaming nerds, fantasy alliances and new age belief regimes who fight over a university's library conversion to a form of automation.. (what...?)
The story had terrorist, but they are so smart we never really find out who they are but their hidden influence (Catfish Style) impacted the entire planet. But they were not really important to the story either, what seemed to be a major part of this story was the elderly student's class assignments and there final exams.
The Best Seller's Book Club member agreed that "Rainbow's End" clearly missed the mark by a mile. Therefore we could not recommend this title to our collective book lovers of all ages...!

From: Ghettostone Publications Company's Editor/Chief- Michael R. Brown and The BEST SELLER'S BOOK CLUB- comes a recent review of the boo "The Christmas Cookie Club", by author Ann Pearlman.
"The Christmas Cookie Club", (JUST LIKE IT SOUNDS), a story about twelve friends who meet up during the holiday to celebrate, commiserate, and trade extraordinary cookies with each other along with great beverages...! A great concept for a story. Each character has a recipe! Each character bakes to perfection! And each character tell a back story about their pass year!
The author does an extraordinary job of weaving and connecting each character's back stories, while crafting an overarching sequence of events that ties lose ends together into a quilt of visual experiences. The Christmas Cookie Club members meets each year at a fancy banquet hall, all decked out in hand crafted Christmas ornaments. The reader is provided a view of the kitchen and all the behind the scenes preparations, cookie recipes, cookie ingredients , baking instruction and hand crafted cookie containers. (OK! I LOVE COOKIES...!)
The story is a feast for the senses as recipes are written out as part of the story. (thank you.)
But all is not as it seems, as the readers finds out that each member's story has drama, and human difficulties that even the most positive members cant repress! And we learn that even though the ladies look fabulous, and put on airs all people need support from time to time.. and all people must deal with adversity in life that make us question "why we do the things we do?" No spoilers...! But, needless to say there is strength in numbers and these ladies have learned to raise each other up right when they need it most.

From: Ghettostone Publications Company's Editor/Chief Michael R. Brown and "The BEST SELLER'S BOOK CLUB" the review of the Ann Rice novel "Blood Communion" A Vampire Lestat Story...! OK, it's awesome! Ann Rice usually delves deep into details of the vampire workings and how other immortals relate to their dominion which takes up a lot of time and spins the readers brain into confusion, while trying to keep up with the fast moving story lines, but "The Prince Lestat - BLOOD COMMUNION" was fast moving trip into a familiar world we become accustom and was highly entertaining featuring new adventures, characters, and backstories that ties up lose ends from previous Vampire Chronicles...! Ann Rice is such an effective story teller and "Blood Communion"does n't disappoint..!
The Best Seller's Book Club highly recommends "Anne Rice's BLOOD COMMUNION" for all readers and lovers of story. From: Ghettostone Publications Company's Editor/Chief Michael R. "RUBBER" the film. "RUBBER" is movie, Right? "RUBBER" is a film about a space alien, WHAT? Is that right, "RUBBER" is a film about a Tire! The starring roles is given to a tire turns! It turns, its roles down the highway and it kills people who try to stop it? I'm not kidding, the film star "a tire". So once you get passed the idea that Hollywood green lite a project called "RUBBER", then made it happen, you can try to get into this movie's plot. Real actors play supportive roles, other actors add a narrative, and still other actors get eliminated by the Tire's super powers that explodes heads. How long does this go on? The movie "Rubber" roles on entire hour and 45 minutes, unflinchingly focused on the movements of it'a main star! This film could be a contender for my newest list, "WORST FILMS EVER MADE!" list and I believe could be in the running for top five worst film ever made...! No joke! (smile) Are there worst movies, yes. But "RUBBER" has it all, bad dialogue, bad acting, bad concept as a movie and it's not understandable when watching it! YES, I could watch it again, and deny that I'm one of those people who would do so, but I'm on a mission, "to find the worse film ever made and bring that list to you...!

"Blacker The Ink" for comic book nerds who have a hard edge psychological bent, this book goes into great detail about the psychology of superheroes and the development of character persona. Written for the college classroom a professor examines the make up of Black Superheroes in American culture.
Let's faces facts American has it's thumb down on it's minority culture and as a result writers
tend to reflect this oppression in their stories, through polar opposites, ultra violence, completely ignore any hints of whiteness, or by creating entirely new worlds with no American influence. Doing any of these styles is difficult.
"Blacker The Ink" devotes an entire chapter to Ghettostone Publication's "RAMZEES" and how my development of his persona is influenced by the majority culture of which I cant escape!
From what I have read so far this is a serious discussion about superheroes, comic books, storyline creation and independent publishers who struggle to be read.
This is one I am personally looking forward to reading closely!
Sincerely,
