I love, love, loved this Rock Opera on the life of Elton John. The way they used his music to tell his story was very artistic. I also liked the way they didn't gloss over the not very nice side of his personality and showed him for who he truly is "warts and all".I love, love, loved this Rock Opera on the life of Elton John. This is a very simple guessing game book about baby animals. The animals are beautifully drawn and are wearing beautiful spring outfits in the illustrations. The repetition is particularly good for the very young while guessing which animal will be next is fun for an older audience. This is a very simple guessing game book about baby animals. The kids and parents in my Storytime loved this book. Kids interact with Crunch and learn about self regulation and the preferences of others. I especially recommend this book to pre-schoolers and kindergarteners.

I have to admit I had a hard time getting into this book. I even put it down and read another before picking it up again. I am very pleased I did because this book really spoke to me. I was one of the teens who worried about the major corporations taking over the world and resisted all activities that strove to categorize me. now I look at the world and it makes me wonder, what happened to me and the people like me? I recommend this book to anyone teen or adult who wants to explore a future very like our now in its values if not in technology.I have to admit I had a hard time getting into this book. This book came highly recommended to me by someone whose opinion I trust so, I knew I was going to like this book. I wasn’t prepared for how the story would make me need to keep reading more and more. The characters were interesting and I liked the style the author uses jumping back and forth in time. It turns the story into a mystery for the reader. recommended for fans of John Green, Rainbow Rowell, and David Levithen. This book came highly recommended to me by someone whose opinion I trust so, I knew I was going to like this book. It had been a really long time since I read this book. My mom tells me I was eight. So over the last 30 years I had forgotten pretty much everything about this book. The story is in essence a quest where good fights to overcome evil. There are mentions of God but no reference to a specific religion. The writing is very different, I'm not sure if this is because it's a translation. I liked it though because my mind had to work in a different way while reading it. Recommended for first and nostalgic readers. It had been a really long time since I read this book. My mom tells me I was eight. I really liked the Diviners, also by Libba Bray so when I saw this available on Overdrive I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. The occult and secret societies enhance the reader's understanding of Victorian culture. The characters are believable even though they are doing unbelievable things. I recommend this book to older teens especially those who like other steam punk classics like Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials series, and boarding school stories like Gail Carriger's Finishing School series Rainbow Rowell'so Carry On, or J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter. I'm looking forward to reading the other two in the series.I really liked the Diviners, also by Libba Bray so when I saw this available on Overdrive I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. I am so grateful this book was recommended to me by a young reader. It was impossible not to fall in love with the characters (save Dell). The writing style makes the story feel like a fairy-tale but the subject matter is far from unicorns and princesses.
Willow already faces social and educational challenges due to her genius. These challenges have made her tough enough to deal with the tragedy that befalls her.I am so grateful this book was recommended to me by a young reader. I have to start off by saying that this book is really not for me which is fine because it wasn't written for me. It might have been written for you! It will appeal to readers who enjoy an epic teen adventure a la an Abundance of Katherines, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist etc. Also, if you enjoyed the colorful yet realistic dialog from Me, Earl and the Dying Girl, then you will enjoy this too.I have to start off by saying that this book is really not for me which is fine because it wasn't written for me. This book by Anderson is on our teen books club reading list and I am glad it is. The book is full of debate topics on subjects like friendship, relationships and of course, rape. Young men and women who read this book will feel empowered to speak.

Yes, this book is super long and there are a lot of words that are difficult to understand. Although I did read it all, you don't have to. I really enjoed the flowery prose that Hamilton is quoted using but you can skip to the juicy bits and there are a few.
For the more serious reader of American history this book laid out in an easy to understand way why democracy looks like it does in today's society. This book covers a lot of ground (related to independence) and taught me about areas of American history I didn't know I should know.
