New Moon is the second book in the Twilight Saga series. This is the book when the love triangle starts between Edward and Jacob. I disliked Edward so much because of this book. I understood he was worried about Bella, but I did not agree with most of his decisions. Jacob on the other hand was perfect. He tried to heal Bella from her misery, but I felt like Bella was a bit ungrateful. But it was a good book. The author was able to make me feel the pain Bella felt. The beginning of the book was slow but once we get deeper into the story, I guarantee that you will get hooked immediately. Twilight is an addicting series once you start you can not stop reading. Bella is a very stubborn teenager and she did a lot of reckless things I did not agree with. There are a lot of negative reviews, but this book wasn’t bad at all. Some stuff was a bit unrealistic, but it didn’t bother me much. This was a story of heartbreak, love, and adventure. Bella went through a crazy adventure that was entertaining. I give this book a three out of five. @Nat of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public LIbrary New Moon, in my opinion, was the worst book in the Twilight Saga, and I feel like all team Edward fans will agree with me. The whole novel revolved mainly around Bella and Jacob's relationship. I was never a fan of Jacob Black's character, so it bothered me when he got this whole book. Your opinion on this book will probably be based off who you fall for in the first book- Edward or Jacob. Although, one thing I did enjoy was that we got to learn more about the werewolves, who they are and how they came to be. The Twilight Saga is a good series if you want to be entertained and read a book you can get through quickly, if you can look past the overall cheesiness of them. I would give this book a rating of 7/10 stars and suggest it to anyone who enjoyed the first book. - @bookaholic of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board New Moon, the sequel to Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight, was pretty hard to get into. The book starts off very slow, and there’s really nothing interesting to keep you reading. Eventually some action occurs, and that’s basically all the action you get for the book. Once Edward leaves, you are left with only Bella and her whiny complaining for what seems like an endless number of pages. Then Jacob comes, and you learn to like him, because of his boyish attitude and nice personality. Bella continues to anger you once you realize how she just uses innocent Jacob, and the book becomes even more of a bore to read. After pages and pages of this, the second bit of action happens and Bella is off to save her ex-boyfriend who she is un-healthily obsessed with. They were broken up longer than they ever dated! I’m questioning why they were dating in the first place, because they have nothing in common. This book seems to have no plot what-so-ever, and I think Bella is not a good role model for young girls. - @Alicat15 of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library Edward leaves Bella.  She is devastated but finds comfort in her old friend Jacob Black, but Jacob Black wants to be more than just friends.  She also discovers that he is a werewolf.  And she learns about the ancient rivalry between vampires and werewolves. 2 Stars - @bookworm2.1k of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
