How Common People Are Doing the Uncommon

This is a book that made me intrigued as well as finding myself skipping ahead in parts, as it gets rather repetitive with it's detail and supportive case studies and description. Some parts were very interesting and indeed worthwhile, but this is a book that you can read in parts and able to leave out other parts, based upon your understanding and belief in how important the union of the mind and body is, as well as what you have read before. It shows how important the use of meditation and of how there is more to this world than what our five senses deals with on a daily basis. In the forward of the book, talks about the reported multi-century (197 or 256-year-old Chinese man), Li Ching-Yuen. Reportedly a martial artist, herbalist and lived in the mountains and had stated once... “Keep a quiet heart, sit like a tortoise, walk sprightly like a pigeon and sleep like a dog.” These were the words of advice Li gave to Wu Pei-fu, the warlord, who took Li into his house to learn the secret of extremely long life.[messagetoeagle.com] Good information for some, repetitive for others.
