The world is not only made up of 20-something hipsters. I'd like to acknowledge this movie for recognizing this fact. Most of us are older than that. We have boring jobs in cubicles and our marriages may have become stale. This movie explores the life of a married couple well above 50. They are each having extramarital affairs. They are cordial to each other at home, but the passion is gone from their marriage. Or is it? They manage to rediscover each other, but is it too late? Their son comes home for the weekend and sees only hypocrisy. Is he right? Debra Winger is brilliant as the wife and is definitely the sympathetic character here. Tracy Letts as the husband is less sympathetic as his lies know no bounds.
