Adam Silvera's books are really a marvel. I'm shattered into tiny pieces whenever I read one and yet I ask for more and am thankful for the experience. I really could never explain explain how wonderful his work is even in heartbreak. In this novel we have grief being the star, grief for the death of a friend and ex boyfriend, grief for a relationship that has changed, grief for the world having changed, grief for other relationships that have changed or been neglected as a result. Death changes everyone and that is well explored here. There are challenges and feelings and tangled relationships and fallout from that. It's really a beautiful mess and of course everyone is young and there are a lot of firsts involved here. Your heart will be broken and then set on the road to healing and you will enjoy the experience.
