This is another entry in O'Reilly's exploration of famous murders. George S. Patton, the colorful and controversial World War II general, died as a result of an auto accident in 1945 Germany. Or so, the official story goes. Missing files, missing witnesses, and predictions from Patton that ultimately came true only deepen the mystery. O'Reilly explores the trajectory of Patton and other key figures from October 1944 until Patton's death in December 1945. The author entices the reader with personal anecdotes about the war's major figures and what ultimately happened to them. The audio version reminds of Paul Harvey's The Rest of the Story with its breathy ups and downs during the narration.
