Where do I even begin??? This book was terrible to the greatest lengths. All the 5-star reviews make me question life and the people who wrote them. The book was overall weird and had odd romance. The book revolves around Ella, a teen who lost both her parents and lives alone. Now comes along Mr. Callum Royal, a rich man who claims to have known her father and now wants to be Ella's legal guardian. So Ella now goes with this random guy to live in his house with his 5 sons. While at the house, Callum explains to Ella that if she stays with them for the rest of high school, then he will give her $10,000 each month...WTF. Anyways, now Ella is at the house with the 5 sons who basically hate her more than anything. She goes to school and gets bullied. She goes home and gets bullied. She tries out for teams and gets bullied. She goes to parties and gets bullied. There is no end to this girl and she doesn't learn common sense either. Things get weird with her and her somewhat 'stepbrothers.' First she and Easton are kind of together and then they aren't. Then she and Reed are together...sort of on and off. I know that Ella and the five boys aren't blood-related, Callum basically adopted her, but it still doesn't make it any less weird. Maybe it's just me that doesn't like this book, but still, 0.5 stars. Next time I should probably read up more on books before wasting my time on them... - @bibliophile of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
