The artwork that is presented in this book was created by Dr. Seuss (whose real name was Theodor Geisel). These paintings and sculptures were never seen by the public while Geisel was alive. I think that it's interesting to look at Geisel's more mature world of artistic make-believe that goes far beyond his paintings and drawings that were strictly aimed at the amusement of children.
