Ever once in a while I like a bad movie as a kind of palette cleanser. I heard this was bad, but, boy, is it bad! It has a 3.3 on IMDB and a 9% on Rotten Tomatoes. There were plans to do a Catwoman movie with Michelle Pfeiffer reprising her role from "Batman Returns" and Tim Burton directing, but, alas, that never happened. One of many ridiculous things about this movie is that is makes no attempt to be faithful to the comics. She's not even Selina Kyle, she's the absurdly named Patience Philips, who like dies and gets revived by some kind of supercat. Huh? Also the plot involves toxic make-up. Seriously. Oscar winner Halle Berry wears a very impractical costume and while she looks good, her performance is laughably bad, as is villain Sharon Stone, who at least hams it up. Probably up there with the Ben Affleck "Daredevil" as the worst of the comic book movies. The character has been redeemed somewhat by "The Dark Knight Rises" and "Gotham."
