Graham Greene was incredibly prolific, writing dozens of novels, short stories, film articles, screenplays, and memoirs. I've been reading him on and off for two decades and still haven't read all his books. He has his great books ("The Power and the Glory," "The Heart of the Matter"), his entertaining books ("The Third Man," "Our Man in Havana"), and his mediocre books ("The Comedians," "M. Quixote"). This final novel of his is the curious story of a boy taken from his boarding school by the mysterious Captain of the title. It end in Panama. Worth reading for the Greene completist, but not the Greene novel to start with.
