This was a fast and easy read. I appreciate the significance of Carlos' character and the importance of him serving as a role model, but sometimes I found him a bit much. He claimed he wasn't shallow, yet he repeatedly made condescending, judgmental comments about his best friend's weight, people consuming greasy food, etc. He was a little self-absorbed, a bit materialistic, and believed he could never do wrong. I thought his adventures with FeatureFace were fun to read about, but I felt like other parts of the story weren't fleshed out as well as they could have been, such as problems with his sister's relationship, his mom't job, and his crush on Gleason. Some resolutions were glossed over and others weren't resolved at all, and I was left wondering how they added to the story overall and why they were included in the first place. With that being said, go into this book with the attitude that it's a great "beach day" book.
