Skip It – Project X (2012) 88 min. Filmed like a documentary and made to believe that this actually happened, three teenagers “host” a house party to end all house parties. Hundreds of people show up trashing house and neighbourhood. If I had any respect for the creators of this film, I would think that the film is an allegory of sin and how it grows and grows into an uncontrollable force. But hey, I give these guys too much credit. In fact, the film is just another excuse to demonstrate the lewdness of today’s society, especially in our young ones. The film could’ve been shot into a 23 minute two reel short that included the introduction of the characters, a few minutes of the “party”, and the concluding “moral” thoughts. But all we have here is party scene after party scene; a party I wouldn’t want to be invited to.
