The New York Times bestselling "taut, sophisticated thriller" ( BCCB , starred review) packed with twists and turns that will leave you breathless.

They say Delia burned herself to death in her stepfather's shed. They say it was suicide.

But June doesn't believe it.

June and Delia used to be closer than anything. Best friends in that way that comes before everyone else--before guys, before family. It was like being in love, but more. They had a billion secrets, binding them together like thin silk cords.

But one night a year ago, everything changed. June, Delia, and June's boyfriend Ryan were just having a little fun. Their good time got out of hand. And in the cold blue light of morning, June knew only this--things would never be the same again.

And now, a year later, Delia is dead. June is certain she was murdered. And she owes it to her to find out the truth…which is far more complicated than she ever could have imagined.

Sexy, dark, and atmospheric, Suicide Notes from Beautiful Girls will keep you guessing until the very last page.

This book started out strong, but the middle to end honestly made me sick. Was not expecting this to make suicide glorified and to use it to kill other people without getting caught. I have no other words.

I was disappointed by the end. Mid-way the tone of this story changes, and not for the better. I was fully engaged by the first quarter, but only finished the book because "I had to". Can anyone explain what happened to Delia & June at the end? Because I totally missed that.

People say that delia burned herself to death, but june doesn’t believe it. June and delia used to be best friend’s. They had an infinite number of secrets, trying them together like thin silk cords. And in the cold blue light of morning, june knew only things would never be the same again. Now delia is dead. June us certain she was murdered. And she owes it to her to find out the truth. which is far more complicated than she ever could have imaganed.
I liked this book because it showed me how i should care about my friend’s, and when there feelings sad i should help them out every time, even though yall sometimes have bad times with each other. it also shows me to never give up on my friend to love them, care about them even when there having problems.
I recommend a teacher or a author or principle that really likes reading books, about how you should care and love your friend’s, and never give up on your friend.

The beginning is so strong--I couldn't stop reading it. And then like other reviewers, something shifts and it's just not as engaging. Try it though--you might disagree!

As soon as this book arrived at the library the cover and title caught my eye. I began reading it and was hooked. At about halfway through the book I began recommending it to friends. However, as I got to the end I was highly disappointed in the route the story took and now wonder if I should recommend it at all. I guess that is my warning and now you can make the decision for yourself. ;-)

June is one of those characters you want to slap and tell "snap out of it!" I had many instances where I walked away because I was so frustrated with her. You can see the train wreck coming but you can't look away.

Have you ever known someone who was like the sun? The kind of person who makes it seem like the world revolves around them?

For June, that person was her best friend Delia, but getting too close can mean getting burned. June thought she'd put Delia behind her, but once she hears that her free-spirited former best friend committed suicide, June finds herself pulled back into Delia's orbit. Unable to accept that someone so full of life would choose to end it, June finds herself on a journey that tests her wits and resolve, and proving that some mysteries are better left unsolved. Suspenseful and gripping throughout, Suicide Notes From Beautiful Girls is in equal parts a compelling mystery and a deep examination of friendship between teenage girls.
