The Enforcer is the most formulaic of all the Dirty Harry movies, which is saying something.  Fortunately, it's a pretty good formula.  Forgettable, but reasonably entertaining.

Ah, the always unreliable onewhoissaved strikes again. He says he saw this movie in 1796, and that's just one of his errors. If you're in the mood for some mindless violence, this is the movie for you. Next in the series is Sudden Impact.

This movie made equite a bit of money for somebody. It costs $9million to produce and brought in $46million. I saw it in 1796 and liked it quite well. How could you go wrong with a Dirty Harry movie? But now this is actually a boring movie with no substance and still no acting talent on the part of Clint Eastwood. Americans, especially males, like him for reasons I can't explain. Clint has a weak voice, an expressionless face, and a squint. Yet we like it when he gets going and that means doing action films. His specialty.

In the 1960s and 1970s, militant groups such as the Symbionese Liberation Army (best known for their kidnapping of Patty Hearst) and the Weather Underground seized the attention of the American people, and many wondered to what extent the far left radicals even believed their own rhetoric. This third film in the popular 'Dirty Harry' series features a fictional version of one of those groups, and it pulls no punches. Tyne Daly appears as Inspector Kate Moore, the protagonist's first female partner, and her talented performance is one of the highlights of the movie. It's well worth watching.

My first viewing. It holds up remarkably well ! ... and has additional historical interest about this genre. The bonus extra adds perspective.

If nothing else, The Enforcer proved to me that, yes, actions do speak louder than words, especially if you're packing a powerful .44 Magnum with you when your "action" plan goes into effect._____ And, you can be sure that "bad-boy" Homicide Inspector, Harry Callahan, and his beloved .44 Magnum, found plenty of hardcore criminal action to contend with on the seemingly safe streets of San Francisco._____ Surprisingly, this brutal, violent, fast-paced Crime/Drama from 1976 contains some very nice touches of humor, like, when Callahan delivers some hilarious one-liners while he's sneeringly talking back to his superiors._____ Even though The Enforcer is almost 40 years old, I found it to be quite an entertaining entry from its particular genre. And, yes, Clint Eastwood carried his part as Harry Callahan off very convincingly._____ In The Enforcer, Callahan not only has to reluctantly contend with his very first female work-partner, but, duty requires that he go after a ruthless, underground terrorist group who are sitting on a huge stockplie of stolen explosives.

This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. “Not too bad---good performance”. "I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.”

"We Americans are so tired of being thought of as dumbasses by the rest of the world that we went to the polls this past November and removed all doubt."-Clint Eastwood

“This is the way I want to remember Clint. Not some old man babbling to a chair with nobody sitting in it.”
