Nostalgic San Franciscans this is one for you. Love the old scenic and comparing what is left in current region. Story was pretty good flow; interesting the evolution of the actors performance from Cowboy rifle man, guy shooter, singing cowboy to urban lawman.....what he has own production company & make quality film with top movie stars.

4 magnum guns for must watch

Magnum Force" from 1973,the followup to "Dirty Harry",(a movie many consider to be a classic),is really, really good.It has more action and laughs. You could call it a kind of black comedy, crime drama and suspense thriller. The screenplay was cowritten by Michael Cimino( who also wrote and directed "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot" the following year with Clint Eastwood and Jeff Bridges which is a good flick ),and John Milius, who had an uncredited hand in the original "Dirty Harry".

This is a 1973 American action film and the second to feature Clint Eastwood as maverick cop Harry Callahan after the 1971 film Dirty Harry.
In 1972, mobster Carmine Ricca drives away from court and an angry mob after being acquitted on a technicality.
An unseen SFPD motorcycle cop stops Ricca’s limo for a minor traffic violation.
Then, suddenly, the cop pulls his service revolver (a Colt Python .357 Magnum), shoots all four men in the car.
This is the first shocking scene.
Inspector Harry Callahan (Clint Eastwood) and his partner Earlington "Early" Smith (Felton Perry) visit the crime scene despite their being lent to stakeout by their Lieutenant.
Callahan is controversial within the department.
His superior, Lieutenant Neil Briggs (Hal Holbrook) considers Callahan as reckless and dangerous after an aircraft hijacking at the airport where Callahan impersonates a pilot.
The dislike is mutual.
The second shocking scene is at a mobster's pool party, where a motorcycle cop attacks with a satchel charge and a sub-machine gun and kills a dozen people.
Thirdly, a pimp (Albert Popwell) who killed one of his prostitutes (Margaret Avery) is himself shot at close range by a motorcycle cop.
It is a film with a series of shocking scenes.
How come the director shows so many of disgusting crime scenes?
If you're a Dirty-Harry fan, you should look into a 24-minute documentary: "A Moral Right (The Politics of Dirty Harry)" included in this DVD.
