Tony Montana: You wanna waste my time? Okay. I call my lawyer. He's the best lawyer in Miami. He's such a good lawyer, that by tomorrow morning, you gonna be working in Alaska. So dress warm.
Tony Montana: What you lookin' at? You all a bunch of f**kin' assholes. You know why? You don't have the guts to be what you wanna be? You need people like me. You need people like me so you can point your f**kin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." So... what that make you? Good? You're not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie. Me, I don't have that problem. Me, I always tell the truth. Even when I lie. So say good night to the bad guy! Come on. The last time you gonna see a bad guy like this again, let me tell you. Come on. Make way for the bad guy. There's a bad guy comin' through! Better get outta his way!
Tony Montana: You wanna f**k with me? Okay. You wanna play rough? Okay. Say hello to my little friend!

I know it's a cult classic, but it is really, really long. I'd like to see a documentary about how this became so influential in hip-hop culture.
"Scarface" is one of those must see films that everyone who loves crime thrillers needs to see, if only for the intense character portrait of crime.
It is a serious, often hilarious peek under the rock where nightmares strut in $800 suits and Armageddon lies around the next twist of treason.
No conflict here. I hate this movie.
Al Pacino's Tony Montana was terrible. Pacino is a grossly over-rated actor whose career has gone on for far too long now. He really should have stuck to playing such roles as a gay-wannabe like he did in Cruising. Yeah. That's the only sort of part that I think Pacino is most suitable for.
For nearly 3 hours (!) this stupid movie did nothing but bask and wallow in a gross excess and unpleasantness and then, in the end, offered no new insights, except that (get this!) "crime doesn't pay" (which isn't any sort of new news at all).
If you honestly want to see an excellent production of Scarface (and some superb acting, as well), then check out the original version, starring Paul Muni, from 1932. It puts everything about this inferior, up-dated film to absolute shame.
One of the top gangster movies!
Highly entertaining off-the-wall production!! DePalma at his wildest!! Pacino hysterically magnificent (THIS is the one his "Oscar" should have come for) and the 80s' production values and Moroder music are just fantastic.
One of the best gangster movies of all time. Al Pacino shines as Tony Montana a ruthless cocaine crime boss.
Scarface is an incredible film about the darker side of the American dream, about wanting excess stuff. Brian De Palma's take is incredible. Al Pacino performance is up their with the great gangster performances of all time. This film has a long run time but it goes by really quick especially the last hour. This is not only one of the most quoted movies of all time but truly a must see film.
SCARFACE is a classic, no question. But with classics, I expect a serious tone. Sure, SCARFACE is a serious story, too, but with an unintentionally hilarious streak, owing to Pacino's over-the-top performance as Tony Montana. I enjoyed it. My only complaint is the severely abrupt ending that everyone's already seen by the time they get around to watching the film as a whole. Anyone who can handle the language and drug use and violence will probably enjoy SCARFACE.
Not as bad as I originally thought. However, it does suffer from a terribly dated soundtrack. Al Pacino's performance, is indeed, "over the top".
Al Pacino is a great actor, but this film is a horrid example for all the Mexicans/Latinos who are coming into the USA. A lot of them think of Tony Montana as their idol. It is a great example of what is still wrong in this world. If you'd like to be depressed for 2-3 hours, this is good for it.
