This book is a simple and excellent introduction to the basic concepts of pollution, waste and global warming. It uses an effective approach of following a person through the activities of a typical day and week and looking at the consequences of our everyday activities. It is written for teenagers but would be useful for anyone interested in a quick primer on the subject of the damage we are causing to planet earth. The book is a British publication so some of the terminology and some of the statistics are a little different than ours but the principles are the same. There were one or two spots in the book where I disagreed with the author but they were minor. The book would form an excellent foundation for a school class on environmental issues or for a family discussion on how to improve the family's lifestyle as it relates to the earth's eco-system.
