Skit It - Are We Done Yet? (2007) *½ 92 min. starring Ice Cube, Nia Long, and John C. McGinley (Dr. Perry Cox from Scrubs) – This is the 2nd attempt at being completely annoying. Where the first film “Are We There Yet?” focused on the kids, this garbage focuses on Ice Cube in a pseudo remake of Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House (1948) with Cary Grant and Myrna Loy. There is nothing redeeming in this picture accept for the end credits and maybe, just maybe, the scene where Ice Cube discovered his bathroom, that is bigger than his current apartment, and he sits on the throne and imagines life being so good in his private bathroom – THAT’S IT! No more cleverness or charm – nothing, nada. McGinley, who plays the real estate agent, home inspector, plumber, carpenter, and electrician, is absolutely THE worst supporting character ever. I really hated this film and the only reason I watched it was so I could tell you how much I hated the 1st one as well.
