This book, written for young readers, is a decent companion guide, not only for children, but for anyone who loves the land of Narnia. Sibley begins his book with a basic biography of Narnia's creator, C.S. Lewis, then moves on to summarize the plot of each of his 7 Chronicles of Narnia. From there Sibley looks into "the deeper magic" that inspired the stories of Narnia, then rounds out the book with the end of Lewis's life and the profound impact that the Chronicles of Narnia continue to have in modern times. Those who are familiar with the stories may speed quickly through the summaries, but otherwise, it is an enjoyable read in which readers may learn a few new things about these treasured stories.
