This 2019 film didn't work for me - far too ALT or whatever. This whack view of high school was too cartoonish - but didn't hit my funny bone.

Laugh out loud funny portayal of two teen friends on the cusp of adulthood. Like "Superbad" but with girls. Expect intense high school friendship, hijinks, fumbling romance, and lots of awkwardness.

Just finished the movie and I must say I thought it was awesome. Being a male it is difficult to understand the difficulties in being a young lesbian but I still loved the character. GIGI rocks in here brief but memorable scenes. Laughed almost all the way through, great dialogue and great characters pretty much all the way through. PS enjoyed watching lisa kudrow hugging and kissing the panda LING LIng.

Booksmart was a very relatable, funny, coming-of-age drama with excellent casting and an even better script. The crisis two best friends have during their last week of high school is unbelievably relatable and the lengths they go to in order to have the best last week ever are so crazy they make sense. The emotional turmoil experienced by both girls and the life lessons they learn throughout the film are those learned by every teenager at some point: not everyone is going to like you back, your first time isn’t always magical, and what you think you know about someone else based on rumours, might not be true. Moronic. Contrary to previous comments, the movie very much stereotypes. If this movie is indicative of high school, then schools don't need metal detectors for weapons. The movie is guilty of bombing due idiotic influence abuse; inflicting narcissistic, unprepared and undisciplined young adults upon society: Morons

Perhaps the title could be amended to "Book Farts". Leaving flagellant regret of something you'd rather not have ingested.

Cute quirky coming of age movie. Pretty much cliche.

Clever take on the “last day of school before graduation“ film. But give it about 30 minutes to establish itself before giving up, if you’re leaning that way. The first bit was slow and unfocused, but once the story/plot gets established (during the bathroom scene) then the movie finds its footing and rolls on entertainingly from there.

“No, we just don’t only care about school.”

Many quotes in IMDb already, thanks to the contributors. Most are too raunchy to post and a few are too subtle without the actions on screen like this one:

It isn't you who has to deal with their awkward looks when I say that I'm going to the library with you and I'm actually going to the library with you.
