Listen to the audiobook for this one! This book is part memoir, part self-help book from the hosts of the true crime comedy podcast My Favorite Murder. Karen and Georgia share stories of formative life events as well as their advice on topics like self-advocacy and mental health. Note that unlike their podcast they don't discuss true crime cases - so this book will appeal to fans of the podcast who want to know more about the hosts, but not fans who are looking for their next true crime fix.

In the light of the recent murder of a young female college student, in Utah, I think we should no longer listen to the propaganda put out by BLACK LIVES MATTER. Apparently this suspect took the meaning too literally, as, he didn't torture to death a black person; but he did do that to a white girl. He asked a white contractor to build for him a soundproof concrete bunker, with hooks. After the girl went missing, this genius then went to the police. Was it political correctness which caused his dilatoriness? Wouldn't you find the suspect's request suspicious? The contractor refused to build the soundproof basement, with hooks on the wall. Why didn't he contact the police after the suspect's request? Was it because he was afraid he would be thought a racist? The result: a poor girl lost her life to a monster./ Follow the trial. Live and learn.

This isn’t maybe the best written book in the world, but what it lacks in style in makes up for in authenticity and honesty. I think you’ll best enjoy this dual memoir if you are a fan of the heart to heart conversations of the My Favorite Murder podcast. Note, there’s no true crime featured so if you are looking for your forensic fix you’ll need to look elsewhere!

What with their eating disorders, depression, fear, and addictions, even the Most Casual Observer wonders how sexy or attractive these women can be.

Ever read a dual memoir? You should, and this should be it. Karen and Georgia are talented writers, they're honest and funny and sometimes, their personal stories resonated so deeply I had to put the book down and have a think. And if true crime isn't your thing, there really isn't very much of it at all.
