So awhile back the worst scourge to ever hit comics (otherwise known as Brian Michael Bendis, who can't write a character with their own distinctive voice if his life depended on it) took over the X-books, and for no reason at all brought the original five X-Men into the present to try to force a do-over among the troubled older mutants. Again, for no reason. And they stuck around, well, just because. This limited series rectifies that, with the team finding themselves compelled to return to their proper time. The writer handles things well, though the very concept should have never been started in the first place.
