Nicole Kidman, in a completely different type role, plays a cop, or ex-cop completely wasted by alcohol? looks like she was dragged around in a sewer or something. I didn't even recognize her and thought maybe she was aged since the last time I saw her. Best to not know anything and let the film tell the story through flashbacks, etc. A real sordid story. But I gotta give Kidman credit for stretching herself in this role.

Did not care much for this movie. Felt it was dragged out and boring. The ending also was not that great. Poorly done movie.

i really didn't like it and agree with those who felt that this was a huge waster of Nicole Kidman's talent. The story was hard to follow, the time sequences frustrating, the editing bad - just everything was off but more than anything, i couldn't get over the bad, laughable makeup and hair! Don't waster your time unless you want to see what it looks like when a really good actress takes an age inappropriate role in a bad movie.

Interesting "circular" style in story telling but as others have pointed out, casting is all wrong with Kidman (age 50+) as the protagonist on an one-woman mission to redemption in a script generally reserved for men, and lately for tough women like Charlize Theron in Atomic Blonde ( 2017), Zoe Saldana Colombiana (2011) or Michelle Rodriguez in The Assignment (2016.) It does not help with a familiar police crime plot.

What should we do with an actress over forty? Star her in a remake of Bad Lieutenant, layer on the makeup to make her as ugly as possible, and then make sure the moving is boring. What a waste of talent and money.

This an excellent Nicole Kidman movie, probably one of her best!

N.B.: Some expletives and sexual scenes throughout the movie.

Nicole Kidman is a better actress than the role she plays here. We don't need heavy make-up and tantrums to demonstrate that she is depressed... Horrible use of talent. Kristi & Abby Tabby
