A good story continues, that feels both classic (Hulk fights avengers, Hulk walks the anti-hero line) and fresh (some horrific moments, a growing evil that can't be punched away). I enjoyed it.

Usually when the Hulk battles people, he takes them down physically. Here, for the first time, Hulk battles with his body AND his mind, and almost successfully immobilizes his former teammates in the process! This story continues to be incredible (see what I did there?) as Hulk travels through the MU and beyond...or below (!!)...and continues to be the must read book of the current Marvel pantheon.

What not to like about this comic?
1) Interesting story.
2) Big fight between Hulk and the Avengers.
3) Fight with the absorbing man and Hulk

No, it's not the green door from the old 50's pop song. Or maybe it is. This continues the current Hulk comics run with issues #6-#10. It fulfills all the promise of the first five issues, and then some. When a super-hero has been around as long as the Hulk, it's hard to imagine anything really new. But this series delivers that and more while still keeping characteristics of the original hero and supporting cast. The series won every one of the various awards for "Best Comic Book Series of 2018". You will not need a bookmark to read this book. Each issue begins with an insightful quotation, everything from Albert Camus to William Blake. Bruce Banner's shocking transformations continue with new ones like the Dismembered Hulk and the creepy Skinny Hulk. Other Lee/Kirby creations such as Carl "Crusher" Creel, the Absorbing Man, continue their new life. The excitement is really akin to how I felt when I read the first Hulk comics over (my God, really) 50 years ago. Now I'm hooked, this will be the last of the collected volumes I review, because from issue #11 on I'll be picking up the comics at my local comic shop. The Alex Ross covers, exceptional even for his "super-photo realism" work, work better as covers rather than pages in a book.
