Persephone learns that it's ok to stand up for herself in the second book in the Goddess Girls series!

So when she meets Mount Olympus Academy bad-boy Hades, she finally feels like she has found someone with whom she can be herself. But her mom (Ceres) and her friends don't exactly approve. If Hades can make her feel so special, is he really that bad, or just misunderstood?

It wasn't actually bad, but since I'm 14 I'm not the target audience I didn't really enjoy it :P But good for 8-12 year-olds

LaughingOne I think these books are great I read two and I love them they don't " dumb down " the myths they just make it so it fits the goddesses as middle schoolers. I read Percy Jackson books so I know most of the myths and even though the myths here were not the traditional myths I recognized them.

This is NOT the story of Persephone that I've read other places. I don't think you have to "dumb down" the myths for girls.

Persephone's mother encourages her to, "go along to get along" instead of doing what she really wants. One day while Persephone is going home she decides to go into a cemetery where she finds M.O.A. bad-boy Hades. When her friends find out that she is meeting Hades they tell her no while also saying that he spends a lot of time in the principal's office. But despite her mother's and friend's warning she still goes to meet Hades. Then one day her friends (Athena, Aphrodite, and Artemis) were pretending to be birds and they spotted Persephone with Hades. When Persephone reached home she got a whole lecture from her mom about why he's bad. If he understands Persephone's feelings could he really be bad ?
