it's cool how the music of JP has turned almost thrashy or power metal. This is reminiscent of the music of the first Fight release which I really enjoyed. Didn't think much of this group in the early 80's but am really enjoying this one.
I grew up thinking JP was just 'ok' and never paying much attention to what I thought were 'boring' songs back then. Then Rob ended up in more progressive bands like Fight and I grew to really enjoy his voice. This album has a more modern sound for JP and maybe I say that unfair as I haven't heard much of their more recent releases. This one sounds really good.
This is hard rock at it's best. Rob Halford and his new band member rock the house. I liked almost all 14 songs. I highly recommend.
