Basically, judges need to be more transparent, accountable, policed other than themselves not so condescending to juries or be such an autocrat.
Kudos for cynical author to ask the hard questions.

One of the most informative, intriguing books I've read in a long while. Ms. Blatchford has written an extremely well-researched, informed critique of the Canadian judicial system. Supported by her extensive professional journalism experience covering many high profile criminal cases, Ms. Blatchford packs a punch with her view of how & when our justice system fails and when it soars. Be prepared for graphic details throughout the book, but Ms. Blatchford manages to add humour throughout to soften the grisly reality that is the criminal legal system. What an amazing read - I read this book in 2 days. Now a fan, I will read her other 2 books!
