Lots of photos of shade perennials as well as vines, ferns, shrubs and trees. Explains degrees of shade and light and how these can evolve over the years. I had no idea that the color of a building or fence could have an impact on the degree of shade. Also suggests plants which work well together, how to build up your soil and plant around tree roots.
