This was a fast paced book with multiple heroines and a fascinating world to travel in. It has an interesting plot and as the heroines skills and challenges grow, it is suspenseful to see them confront their fears and overcome them.

“They expect her to run. They know she will run. And she does. But at them.”

This book is an amazing read! Engrossing and action packed, you hang on the edge of your seat ready for battle. This young girls story however is not for the faint of heart.

“Every star, turning in the black depth of heaven, burns for no better reason than that humanity raised its face to look. Every great deed needs to be witnessed. Go out there and do something great.”

Great book from an up and coming author! The sequel is even better than this one!

I simply couldn't put this one down. I found it engrossing from start to finish. The writing is so descriptive, it paints rich images better than any movie. It's character driven so well, you live the part with the main character. The action is superb, if bloody at times. It has something of a Harry Potter feel at times, but in a far more adult way. I can't wait to read the next one. Thoroughly gripping!
