Shame on manyshoes and her friend for being so immature and afraid of new experiences in life. I suppose they would have the same complaint had they not known in advance of watching Titanic that the ship sinks in the end.

what nobody tells you is that this is a lesbian love story.

it would be REALLY NICE to know this in advance!!!

The person I was watching it with was very offended by it when about after about 15 minutes, the true nature of the film was revealed. up to then it had been okay.

I'm a bit more easy going about such things than my friend is, but still there should have been an indication somewhere on the box.

This odd and almost amateurish DVD has a homemade feel to it and some of the acting is stiff. But the main actress, Sheila McCarthy is quite good and the movie was enjoyable. On the DVD package it alluded to awards at Cannes and that McCarthy became famous. Not sure about the veracity of that.

One of the best films I have ever seen. There is nothing contrived here, though the director might disagree, just real people living real lives, and some fantacies.

Can't say that I got this movie. One quote on the DVD box says "Isn't life the strangest thing you've ever seen?". Now ain't that the truth when it comes to the life of Polly!

This is one of my top 10 films. A quirky, thought-provoking, unpretentious, independent, low-budget Canadian film. Explores big ideas in a very subtle manner. Woman-centred.
