Add a CommentThis is a cute movie, but it starts out slow. Bob Hope is funny and the 'little old ladies' he helps are sure to delight the audience. While the plot does not become apparent until the movie is well underway, the ending is happy and the audience will enjoy laughs along the way. It is a fun, clean family film. William Frawley is a nice addition to the story, and the Santa scheme is certainly entertaining.
Definitely not the best Bob Hope movie ever. I enjoyed the "On the Road" series much more. I just didn't find this movie amusing; it was a series of old gags and tired jokes. In this movie, Bob Hope just treats everyone as a bank machine, yet his girlfriend still wants to marry him! Crazy!
