An interesting film. Good performance from Colin Farrell where he actually gets to us his rich Irish accent. The bleak Ohio winter/Fall pairs well with the dark tale of a family in the sights of a vengeful son. And Bill Camp is in it too (he is in everything!)

The director obviously channels Stanley Kubrick, even using the same mise en scene (of wide tracking shots with a subtle atmospheric background score). I swear it also has the same music from The Shining. As such, the film begins with promise but loses its way in surrealist scenarios that defy logic and dramatic sense. In that respect the film hints of David Lynch. Perhaps you'd prefer Lynch and Kubrick instead, if that is your cup of tea. Though derivative of these auteurs the film does have some fine acting and tension.

Total waste of time, stupid, non-sense movie.. This kid has some kind of voodoo powers,,no explanation, and movie has worthless ending.... Do not piss off whoever watches this movie with you.

After watching this movie I thought that it must've been made by the "less-imaginative love-child" of the directors who made Lobster and Shining. Then I saw that it was written, directed, and produced by Lanthimos. I won't make any qualitative remarks about the movie but it should suffice to say that if you like absurdist post modern voodoo type movies, this is for you. My spouse offered a more concise description of the movie: "stupid."

This is a pretty wacky horror/mystery film by director Yorgos Lanthimos. Great acting by the entire cast, including three child actors. In the end, however, I was left unconvinced of the viability of the plot. Worth a watch for its off-the-beaten-track style and plot.

Absolute rubbish!!! Boring, dull, monotone...a complete waste of 2 hrs.

Frustrating robotic manner of speech and interaction from all the characters, but a punch-packing, jaw-dropping, effective movie all the same.

This Killing is very strange and unsettling. The tone is hard to place. People speak in strange ways, fast monotone speach with little affect, which suggests this is not reality per se. The kid is very creepy and can even turn spaghetti into something scary. I think his character will be remembered as a classic psycho. Very compelling.

Wow, this one was really different and I should have watched it more than once. I did have to do some research online to fully understand it. I like these actors and the movie was creepy with excellent camera work. To understand the movie, first understand the title, which has to do with some Greek dudes, living in ancient times, who accidentally kill a deer that belongs to a Greek god named Artemis. The stilted way the actors talk is a device this director likes to use, for some reason.
