A very good book; however, it lacks the edge-of-your-seat intrigue that his other novels have.

Average story with a suprise ending,BUT The characters are so interesting and funny, that you would want to read the book just for that reason.

He writes a good story. Not the world shattering kind but that which affects the average person. Good character developement and a plot which starts slow and gathers to illegal speeds. Promise me is about making a friends daughter promise to call him if she is ever in need of a drive rather than go with a drunk driver. One day she calls, he drives and drops her off at a friends place and then she disappears. He then feels obligated to find her and trouble follows

Myron Bolitar returns in this fast paced and witty page turner about the sports agent turned detective. Myron, always a bit of a softie, finds that his well intentioned promises turns dangerous as he is caught up in one situation after another that all seem to turn deadly. This book is truly a good way to spend an afternoon getting away from it all and you won''t want to put it down until you get to the surprising conclusion.
