This live-action adaptation of the Disney animated classic is visually stunning and pays homage to the original. The new songs and additions to the story fit in well to this tale.

I loved the original animated film but I perhaps love this one even more. It was stunningly beautiful to watch. Emma Watson was fantastic as Belle. I found it magical and I never wanted it to end. How nice that I now have two Beauty and the Beast movies to love. A lovely film.

Though it may not quite compare to the animated original, the live-action version is lush, well cast, beautiful to look at, answers quite a few questions and plot holes that the animated version had and adds a few more tunes. Really can't go wrong!

I was going to argue that Disney has really run out of ideas since they started making live action versions of their classic cartoons, but I found this on On Demand and thought I would give it a try. I was surprised at how dark it was compared to the animated version and by dark I mean just that. There was very little color and it gave the movie a gloomy feel. I don't know if that was intended but I know that the animated version was a lot brighter, even in the beginning when the storyline was... well, darker! It was kind of cool to see the movie come to life with the special effects and so forth. Some of them were just amazing but I did find myself wanting to see the original again while watching this version. In comparison, the acting was really good and I liked Kevin Kline as Maurice and Emma Watson as Belle, but the animated version will always be the best. I did like this version enough to want to see it again. I loved Emma Thompson in the role of Ms. Potts, although Angela Landsbury is the true "Ms. Potts". So, well done, Disney, for bringing my favorite animated feature film to life! Oh and in case you're wondering, the 'pivotal' scene between Belle and the Beast (the one that always makes me cry) was almost as effective here.

While neither of the main characters were great singers, the visuals were absolutely amazing! It filled in some gaps the original, animated version left.... And the cast? AMAZING!

The makers did a mostly good job finding actors to look like the cartoon versions. They kept the songs mostly like the originals, which was nice. There were some new songs too, and a few changes were made to the story. One of the changes was that some black people were added to the cast, which makes no sense for the time period this takes place in. They made LeFou a likeable character so that people wouldn't hate on the short fat guy. Modern movies always seem to have hidden agendas. Overall, I prefer the cartoon version.

This is a stunning and magical film with live action. It is the classic story, nothing new here except the actors, but its a beauty not a beast.

Its nice and refreshing. I found it really enjoyable. I know the story by heart and It was my favorite Disney movie growing up. The casting was great, alot of the character even look like the animated versions. Its a great live action movie of a great animated movie based off a great book. I'm basically saying its great.

Lives up to the animated version and past live action remakes. Emma Watson as Belle is very good supported by very familiar veteran actors.

The story gets better after the part belle brought him back to the castle. Everything before that is quite awkward and stiff

Definitely hyped-up movie because it's a Disney production & because of the actors. I found it repetitive and boring. Preferred the animation way more to this one. Although the scenes were beautifully shot and the special effects were great, I felt like they didn't belong in this movie.

This was well performed. It could be a Broadway performance. The singing and costumes and set designs were great. I highly recommend and I would watch again and again! Very romantic!!

Saw it with my best friend at first! I love how Emma Watson and others acted their roles. The acting was really good but the songs were....well not too good. It's a good movie overall
