Add a CommentThe library brings in so many series that are terrific and then abruptly stops or you bring in the first series which get really good reviews and don't continue with the rest. I no longer pick promising shows because they began in 2014 and you offer no more. WHY???
This series has been great, but like most long-running shows seems to be having difficulty sustaining compelling storylines and new energy. I still love the interplay between Janet and Rachel, and also their boss, Gill (who's actually written several of the episodes), but thought the pacing and addition of another love interest for Rachel was lacking. Still excellent and recommended, but not as excited by series 4.
I found myself bored and irritated before the end of the first episode. It isn't really a police procedural--it is more Coronation Street than it is serious crime drama. I watch a lot of police procedural series and this one is about the worst.
great show!
Excellent!
