I loved it. I enjoyed the different aspects of the lives of western women that were covered. I enjoyed the quotes from various letters. I particularly enjoyed that it covered women of many races/ethnicities. I was very interested in the photos. They would have been the best part, but being Black & White, old & too small, I had trouble getting anything out of the majority of them.

Fascinating study of pioneer women. The women are shown to be just as tough, if not tougher, than their male counterparts. Amazing how incredibly hard life was back then. Many thanks to the women that kept diaries so that we would have an accurate portrait of this part of history.
