Just one assignment away from joining the FBI's elite Hostage Rescue Team, John isn't going to let the woman who once showed him up throw him off his game. He'll have to stay close to Jessica . Julie James lost her fabulous editor, Wendy McCurdy. The Thing About Love isn't as good as Ms. James' earlier books. It's a good beach read, but it lacks the sass and sizzle of her earlier books which were edited by Ms. McCurdy.

I've read all of them except for her first: Just the Sexiest Man Alive. My favorite is A Lot Like Love which the library sadly doesn't have in paperback. A close runner-up is Practice Makes Perfect.

It's been a fun beach-book-binge.
