¡Azucar! (Sugar!) shouts cuban singer Celia Cruz (1924-2003), who is known throughout the world as "La "Reina de la Salsa" or "The Queen of Salsa". Author Monica Brown and illustrator Rafael López recount Celia's life, how she loved to sing and dance in Cuba and how, like many others, she was forced to leave Cuba after the Revolution. Although she her Isla Cubana behind, Celia brought Cuban culture and traditions wrapped up in her joyful voice with her to the United States resulting in what is now known throughout the world as Salsa music.
