Detective Lindsay Boxer investigates the most explosive case of her career.

Lindsay Boxer is learning to love again. After the picture-perfect world she shared with her husband, Joe, and their beautiful young daughter shattered under the weight of Joe's double life, Lindsay is determined to put the pieces back together. But before she can welcome Joe back with open arms, their beloved hometown of San Francisco faces a threat unlike any the city--or the country--has ever seen.

When the danger hits even closer to home, Lindsay and Joe find a common cause and spring into action, with quick results. But what at first seems like an open-and-shut case quickly turns into anything but, when the suspect threatens everything that Lindsay has worked a lifetime to build. As Lindsay's investigation is scrutinized and undermined by a criminal as brilliant as any high-powered defense lawyer, and her motives are called into question by everyone she thought had her back, not even the truth may be enough to save her.

In a desperate fight for her career--and her life--Lindsay must connect the dots of a deadly conspiracy before a fiendish enemy puts her on trial-and walks free with blood on his hands.

Filled with the trademark suspense and emotion that have made James Patterson the world's #1 bestselling writer, 16th Seduction is the Women's Murder Club's toughest case yet--and an exhilarating thrill ride from start to finish.

I love the Women's Murder Club and have read all the books in the series. I would say that this was not one of the better ones but certainly an OK read and one that you can get through fairly quickly. I found the ending to be rather abrupt with some questions that were not answered.

A fast read typical of James Patterson. I enjoy the ladies and enjoy the interaction between characters. Not his best but ok

Interesting plot line but as others suggested, ending was a not satisfying. Read it in 1-2 days.

dissapointing! Felt like the end of it was rushed and whatever happened with Sophie Fields? yes she died but what was the point to having her in the story?? I feel like there were still things that were left unsolved in the book.

Not up to Patterson's usual excellence. Found it slow and boring-two star rating.

Disappointing. Feel like maybe he is allowing someone else to write because this was the LEAST of my favorite of this series. I honestly skimmed at least half of it. If this was the first in the series...I wouldn't be back.

Love James Patterson's books and the Women's Murder Club series in particular. Great story line and overall I found it very entertaining. There is more set-up than usual in the 16th Seduction, but I didn't find that distracting. I have noticed recently some unhappiness in various book reviews - must be the summer of discontent. Patterson and Paetro delivered for me in this one. It's an entertaining and fast read. Enjoy it!

Average rating of 2.3 stars yet library rating shows 4 stars!!! Many must have rated 5 stars without comments which is highly illogical. Are they from independent or paid Patterson's fans? Hope the librarians will look into this discrepancy. Without a good explanation, the biblio rating marginalized legit members' reviews.

Here is the math for that to happen.

Number of commenters who posted ratings = 5; assume X is number of raters who did not comment; and the average rating of 4:
Therefore total number of patrons who commented and those who only rated = (5+X)
and the sum of stars by both commenters and X (raters without comment) = (5+X)4
----
Sum of stars by commenters = 11.5; assume those X raters gave the maximum 5 stars:
Therefore sum of stars by commenters and X (raters without comment) = 11.5 + 5X
---
To solve for X
11.5 + 5X = (5+X)4
X = 8.5

Math says 8.5 people who did not care to leave a comment rated this book the maximum of 5 stars while those who cared to leave a comment and rated gave it a poor 2.3 stars ?????

Slow, dull and quite boring - hard to believe it is part of the series... disappointing.
