Funny, sweet romcom!

After seeing this, I won't watch another movie with Adam Sandler in it. In my opinion, he is not an actor, and is barely a comedian.

Very cute movie and good chemistry between 2 leads.

Lucy is a very special girl because she only has limited memories. Many years ago on her dad's birthday, there was a terrible accident and from then on, Lucy lives in that day forever. She wakes up to a new day but her brain still thinks it's her dad's birthday everyday. She repeats her routine... never knowing time is passing by. A man falls in love with Lucy not knowing her condition, but when he finds out, he is willing to give her all she needs. Everyday Lucy forgets this man she loves, and he invents new ways to make Lucy fall in love with him by the end of the day. A video idea pops up: if Lucy is given a video to watch every morning to explain everything about the days she missed, she can live normally...  Lucy ends up marrying this man. They have a family, and everyday, Lucy wakes up to a new tape... a very beautiful and meaningful movie. It teaches viewers not to take anything for granted.

Henry (Adam Sandler), once afraid of commitment, has fallen in love with Lucy ( Drew Barrymore.) Unfortunately, after a tragic car crash, Lucy now suffers from severe short-term memory loss. At night, she forgets anything that happened the day before. Now, every time she wakes up, she still believes that it is her dad’s birthday, the day of the horrific accident. As a result, Henry must make Lucy fall in love with him every day. One of the biggest problems for me about this movie was that it was just too unrealistic. How can Lucy build a life with Henry if she forgets his existence every time she falls asleep?

Cute movie. Interesting premise.

its great how you all give away the plot and ending in the description
cant someone just hear about what its about without you giving the story away?

Interesting plot. Would have been much better without the idiotic actions from Henry's friend Ula (played by Rob Schneider). They do not further the plot and not as humorous as some seem to believe. Otherwise I would have given this a higher rating.

not particularly being a fan of Adam Sandler's movies, I was pleasantly surprised. This movie actually had a story line: it was funny and touching and sentimental. There were a few slapstick moments but they did not interfere with the story.

Henry: It's gonna be alright, Luce.

Lucy: [to Henry] Don't call me Luce. I barely know you.

Marlin: Sweetie, you're sorta dating him.

Lucy: [Lucy looks at Henry]

Henry: Sorry I'm not better looking.

<Sandler is with Barrymoore in the back seat of a car with her father and brother in the front. He's just told her, again, that they're in a relationship> Lucy: "Wait, do we have sex?"
<Both the father and brother turn around and glare at Sandler>

Henry: Pardon me. Sorry to interrupt, but I notice we were both eating alone and I thought perhaps I could sit with you, maybe build a syrup Jacuzzi for your waffle house?
Lucy: Oh, that would be nice, but I have a boyfriend. I'm sorry.
Henry: You're making up a boyfriend so you can get rid of me?
Lucy: No. I'm not.
Henry: What's his name then?
Lucy: Ringo.
Henry: Is his last name, Starr?
Lucy: No. McCartney.

Ula: Come on, I need some details. You get some booby, some assy, a pull on your poi-poi? Come on.
Ula's Kid: Daddy, what's a nympho?
Ula: Uh, the nympho is the state bird of Ohio.
Henry: You're the state idiot of Hawaii.
