A standard for a long time regarding polyamory, but not a favorite of mine. Much prefer 'More than Two', or 'Opening Up'. Dossie is an incredible author, check her other reads, like 'The Bottoming Book'.

A great read! I too discovered this book after reading Sex at Dawn. I found myself drawn to this book. It was easy to read, made sense, offered modern insight and advice about jealousy, and it got to the point. A lot of advice contained in this book is also applicable to many other aspects in life.

I highly recommend this book for all to read. I discovered it after reading "Sex at Dawn" and wanted to explore relationship constructs outside of long-term monogamy, and was delighted by its wealth of practical information, humorous writing style, and direct nature. Even if you aren't keen on open relationships, it is an excellent resource for all who seek successful partnerships with those they love.

"The world is very fond of twos: black and white, male and female, mind and body, good and bad. These pairs, we all learn, are opposed: there's the right way and the wrong way, and our task is to do battle to defend the right and destroy the wrong.

...some people believe that anyone who enjoys sex outside of marriage, or a kind of marriage that's different from theirs, must be attacking their marriage. Anything that is different must be opposed, must be the enemy."

---Insightful!

"It's a very good idea for everyone to learn to live single - to figure out how to get your needs met without being partnered, so you don't find yourself seeking a partner to fill needs that you ought to fill yourself."

---Very wise advice!
