Get ready for killer cupcakes! Deadly donuts! And an outer space adventure with illustrations on almost every page.

Astra's family is moving--to a whole new planet. And what does any kid need on moving day? Snacks! But when Astra asks her spaceship's computer to whip up the ultimate dessert, it makes cakes so amazing that they come to life . Now these cake-monsters are destroying the ship! Can Astra and her robot friend stop them in time? Or are these terrible treats a recipe for disaster?

For early chapter book readers who are ready for something longer, the Not-So-Impossible Tales are packed with silly humor, action, and larger-than-life fun.

Great art and an inquisitive and fun main character make this space adventure something extra special!

A traditional science fiction structure filled with absurd content that makes for hilarious fun. The book is both straight man and comic in a way that works marvelously. Astra and her family join an expedition to a new planet in a distant galaxy that will include 199 years suspended in special sleeping pods. Except she wakes halfway through the journey to malfunctioning AI on her ship, intelligent, aggressively omnivorous cakes, aggressive alien scavengers, and a Nameless Horror from deepest, darkest space. It's up to her to save the ship and all of her trapped traveling companions. It's nicely illustrated, to boot.

Astra’s family is moving to another planet. They will arrive by spaceship but it takes a really long time so her family will be placed into special sleeping pods for the trip. Before Astra goes to sleep, she asks for the ultimate cake from the food machine. The food machine creates scary cakes that mess up the rocket ship and cause it to go off course. It is up to Astra to save the rocket ship or her family will never reach their new home.
