I have mixed feelings about this one. The basic plot involving the disappearing child was intriguing. The plot had sufficient twists and turns and was intriguing. It kept my interest and was a fast page-turner. I disliked all of the characters, however, and the writing style was pretty bland.... Read More »

Reminiscent of Gone Girl / Girl on the Train - but perhaps not as well written. Ending was slightly predictable, but this was a fun quick engaging read. If you want a "beach book" this is more than enough. Don't long for more.

Works as a novel as well as it would a phone text conversation.

Oops, the previous sentence ran a little long.

I read this book and wished I had not. So many questions the characters ask themselves during the book, really annoying. Ending was daft.

While I really liked this book, I'll agree with others on here that it got a little weird at the end. Of the 308 pages, 275 of them were spectacular IMO... 4 out of 5 stars

5 stars until the ending. Ending was disappointing - it could have been so much better. It fell flat.

Good beginning, slipping, repetitive page fillers at times and an ending that feels just put there. A fast read all the same.

With all the twists in the book, I was expecting a bit more of a surprise ending, but, as others have said, the ending is a bit disappointing.
The storyline was intriguing enough, but it didn't really go anywhere after the initial plot started revealing itself. Sort of predictable.

Super easy and enjoyable read. The ending, as several others have said, was weird and I feel it could have been left out.

While this book was definitely one that I had to keep reading to find out what happened, I felt something lacking. Perhaps it was the simplistic writing style, or the fact I did not find any of the characters especially likable. Nevertheless, that's fairly easy to look past as the story itself is engaging enough that it kept me interested. I would recommend this for a quick, suspenseful read, but would not say it was an outstanding book.
