From the murder of her mother, to the new life at an embassy, and the social situations with the country, our protagonist must roll with the punches. This is the second book of three, and it is definitely a goodv bridge into the third/final one. The characters show more sides to their personalities and we see more of the darkness, behind events that seem serene on the surface. Who is behind the kerfuffle of catastrophes? Can we find out before its too late?? - @Siri of the Hamilton Public Library
Please get an actual book version of the next book, "Take the Key and Lock Her Up!" I am so eager to start reading it! Thanks =)
This was my favorite book in the series.
Because we already know about the huge plot twist at the end of All Fall Down, the mystery in this story is not as strong, and the revelation at the end is not as powerful as it could have been. The idea of a secret society didn't really match the plot, and Grace got a lot more whiny in this book, however it was nice to get to know Alexei better. The first book is much better.
I not sure exactly how I feel about this book. The mystery is kind of cool so I kept reading to figure it out. However, the main character felt so whiny to me and after a while it grated on my nerves. Now I know Grace had a rough childhood with her mom being killed and all that, but she won't shut up about how she's crazy and all that. Other than that, this book has an interesting mystery and a plot twist at the end that will keep me reading this series.
