Incoherent, foolish, a disconnected series of devil/demon stories set on a two-lane desert highway. One's time would be better spent doing almost anything other than watching this.

Imagine the worst nightmares that could happen when you were in a car rolling through at night in the middle of nowhere: horrific car accident? zombies? mass murderer? cult killers? Vampire hive? alien attacks? This one was an anthology of some nightmares that awaited a few travelers ... good reason to drive through lonesome highways during the day and avoid them altogether if possible. Not bad, certainly better than "Rubber, 2010" that I rated 1 star while JackPurcell, whom I follow and agree with most of the time, rated 4 of 5 stars.

Amateurish with a lot of driving and running around. Not worth my time nor yours. Disappointing.

You'll have to pay attention on this one, it has sort of a Rashamon flow to it. I didn't like the CGI, I think they could have done better with a puppet on a stick. Good gore factor, and some creepy.

All the good quotes are from the DJ through the radio and posted in IMdB. This one is from the opening dialogue:

The D.J.: ["The Way Out" opening credits radio dialogue] Regret and remorse. Amends and atonement. That's life, right? Well, this next one is for you. All you lost souls racing down that long road to redemption and all you sinners running from your past but heading straight into that pit of darkness up ahead. We're all on the same endless highway... the one with no name and no exits... looking for a way out of tonight and into tomorrow. Well, they're going to try to stop you but you gotta say "fuck it" and keep moving. Because this is your highway. And tonight might just be the night you finally outrun those wicked demons once and for all. And I'll be right here with you, making sure you get where you're going.
