I did not appreciate the way this book was written however, this book reminded me that not everything is good in the world.

Exciting but not for the faint of heart. While interesting, this book sensationalizes gun violence in a school setting.

Once I started I couldn't put the book down. Easy read, that makes you want to read it all in one sitting

On a scale of a boring, repetitive school speech to literally feeling the bullet pierce your heart, this book was definitely killer. It is an intense, thrilling, and tragic story about a teenage shooter who locks his high school student body in the school auditorium and vengefully begins shooting them off. It is written in four different perspectives, each one of a different high school student who has known the shooter personally. However, each perspective is pretty well integrated with the other perspectives and gives an interesting insight on the shooter in the different ways that they were connected to him. Overall, this book is a pretty easy read and flowed pretty well, but it also made me think hard about what the author was trying to convey and how humanity was portrayed in this book. It made me cry, especially towards the end, but I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to read something with an interesting twist on the portrayal of a school shooting and the internal conflicts that each high school student struggles with.

A heart wrenching, unforgettable story of bravery, love, and hope in the face of a terrible, unthinkable tragedy. A tribute to the loss of those at Columbine, Newtown, and others is delivered in this straightforward novel that will have your heart ripped out and your mind wondering why these devastating events still occur. This cover is so artfully done and representative of this novel. It captures and holds your attention. Another plus with this novel is the diversity of the students and is perfect for #WeNeedDiverseBooks.

Note: This book is exceedingly well-written for the subject and while true to account is not described as graphically, and suitable for some mature younger readers.

Just saying.... if you don't like sad books, or depressing books, Do NOT read this book. I ended the book crying and btw the ending is not happy. Very weirdly written...overall i wouldn't give it 5 stars

THIS IS WHERE IT ENDS by Niijkamp Marieke
I would give it five stars, but I only give five to books I will read again, and I think this story is too sad for me to read again. The story was extremely well written, told from several perspectives, and the character's histories were filled in alternately with the main story. I found that Tomas' actions near the end disturbed and or haunted me,, either because it seemed too unreal or too stupid, maybe both, not sure. I felt very much on the edge of my seat, and eager to see what would happen next all the way thru.

I didn’t think there was anything redeemable about this book. The author was going for something profound, but it just didn’t work for me. The characters were all one-dimensional, defined mostly by who they were dating or had dated. There were four different narrators, but it was hard to even tell them apart sometimes because they didn’t have any defining traits. There were a lot of details that were supposed to be meaningful but came across as random and out of place: the town’s name is Opportunity, dying students dream of snow in Alabama, the shooter’s mother was a famous ballerina. Those details added nothing to the book. The thing that bothered me the most was how this book took a very serious topic, and made it all about teen romance.

I loved this teen book. Very well written with 4 main characters whose lives interwine. First day of the new semester and assembly is ending in the Opportunity High School auditorium. During the next hour, everyones' lives will be changed forever. Page turner that will have you hooked to the very end.

This book is amazing, devastating, and incredible. I found myself so emotionally invested that I had to put the book down and walk away for a day because I felt like I was there, going through this school shooting. Highly, highly recommend.
