This was a great movie. It was better than I anticipated. The twist at the end was so unexpected, but magnificent! I enjoyed the ride. I would recommend this movie.

Excellent! With everything to recommend it (other than language, as usual) this is a really great film in this genre. If you liked Speed, you are gonna LOVE Heist and Jeffrey Dean Morgan! De Niro is fab as always and Carano was surprisingly good as the cop - loved when she clocked Bautista, who was also terrific as the crazed gunman. Lots of twists - smarter than its audience, that's for sure!

It's a rare film that's smarter than its audience, but this one is. Luke Vaughn has run out of options. His daughter needs surgery and he owes the hospital so much money they refuse to perform it. This is the film's one flaw as I don't think a hospital can refuse a medical necessity based on failure to pay. Vaughn decides to rob the casino which he's just been fired from and he knows the right people to pull it off. When things appear to go wrong, it's actually part of his plan which I found brilliant. Reviewers compare this to Ocean's Eleven, but this is actually better in my opinion.

Liked the characters and twists in the story though very thin on setups for those twists. But the fast pace of events got you NOT thinking and happy to be on the ride. This time, De Nero took a back seat for Jeff Morgan and the boxer Gina Carano (Haywire.)

This movie was quite good! An unexpected treat! If John Q was crossed with Speed with a dash of Ocean's 11, you would probably end up with "Heist." The acting in this one was exemplary and even Gina Carano comes across as believable as a beat cop looking to take down the robbers and hijackers of bus #657. One of the best unknown films of 2015, Heist is a thrilling roller coaster from start to finish. Highly recommended!
