A tiny dog, a kindhearted girl, and a nervous juggler converge in a cinematic book in four acts -- a unique children's literature experience.

Lucy is a small dog without a home. She had one once, but she remembers it only in her dreams. Eleanor is a little girl who looks forward to feeding the stray dog that appears faithfully beneath her window each day. Eleanor's father is a juggler with stage fright. The overlapping stories of three delightful characters, offering a slightly different perspective each time, come together in a truly original, beautifully illustrated book for dog (and underdog) lovers of all ages.

A wonderful book - like a Brian Selznick title, only for preschoolers! The illustrations are all black & white and resemble pencil drawings, although they're done in oil. The story is divided into 3 acts, with each act being about the same length as a regular picture book, so it can be read in installments. There are repetitive phrases throughout that children will enjoy. Each act begins in the same way, with a little dog waking up from some morning-time noise, but then the story varies a bit each time. The characters are likeable and the ending is happy. Ages 4-8

About a stray dog. The story repeats word for word, over and over. After about the fourth time, its super irritating. There was alot more the book could have focused in on. Plus pencil black and white drawings without any emotion to them? Skip. Skip. Skip.

A gentle story that is just right for a snuggly read with a favorite pet, adult, friend, or all three. Lucy needs a home, Eleanor wants a pet, and Sam works on his juggling. What could they possibly have in common? More than they could ever have hoped for!
