Even though she gets herself into trouble. The middle was slow. The end was no surprise ending. Author gave to many clues. It was something to read I guess. It was ok.
Twisty plot turns, unreliable characters, betrayal and murder!
An slightly-above-average, rather quick and easy read. Drags a bit in some places but overall entertaining. Might have been better with less "hinting" about story line twists as they weren't all that surprising anyway, so the hints rather ruined them. None of the main characters are completely likeable, but that's part of the author's point (no one is all good or all bad; completely guilty nor completely innocent).
This book is wonderfully written. I enjoyed the authors alternating points of view, giving me a first account glimpse into the different plots of the story.
The pace was perfect, leaving me engulfed in the story line and hinting at just enough mystery to keep me turning the pages with utter intrigue. It is a novel full of suspense, sadness, spite, jealousy, hatred, and at times, twisted.
I really enjoyed reading My Husband's Wife. It was a book that has been on my TBR list for quite some time. I am glad I finally sat down to read it! It is a quick read that took me about 3 or 4 days to finish.
I give it a solid 4 stars!
At 530 pp the book was far too long-drawn-out. Even on the last page she was waffling on about how someone liked their tea weak and so forth.
I didn't like any of the characters, who were not developed and were archetypes - here's the heroine, here is the evil bi*ch, here is the artist, here the Aspergers kid and so on. In some places the plot was hard to believe.
The climax at the end was a little over-dramatic and hard to believe.
The book was an okay read, but could have been 100 pp shorter. I was thinking it would never end.
This is one of those books where you don't like the characters. You actually kinda hate most of them. This didn't upset me as much in this book as it has in others. Twisty with intricately unlikable characters this one wasn't so bad.
